Steve and I create works of art in wood.  Each work of art is handmade.  The typical wood used is baltic birch, which comes in numerous thicknesses.  The pattern is drawn and traced onto the wood.  Individual pieces are hand cut with a sabre saw. The pieces are then sanded and painted or stained.  Pieces are put together in a series of layers for a 3-D effect and then positioned in a shadow-box frame.  Each piece is glued and/or screwed in place.  All are finished with several coats of polyurethane for a gloss finish.

Mirror backgrounds are framed individually and placed in the background.

Frames are made from a variety of woods, i.e., old barnwood, oak, redwood, etc.,  all of which are handmade.   An inside and outside border is added finishing the shadowbox effect.

All works are ready to hang with wire attached to the back.
